Misbegotten French keyboards

As i prepared to make a new entry i found myself dismayed to discover that a keyboard in Tunisia follows the French model, ,amely confusing and with no apparent options to change texts without better French knowledge. To the point though, the weather here has been nice and has served to quickly roast me a fine pinkish hue in spite of my better efforts to avoid it. The hotel is adjacent to our beach, and the first day consisted of red-eye flight recovery along it, punctuated with a walk around the neighborhood to gain our bearings

Our second full day began with a ‘free’ tour of the medina, or old town. a lot of fun and fascinating to see, but featured also three very high pressure sales pitches of which i was none to fond. Hoping tomorrow or soon to find our way south to a roman amphitheater in El Djem, perhaps 40km or so distant. Saturday we are doing some caravan type expedition where we get to ride camels and horses; i will likely stick to the camels.

We are in the town of Sousse, midway down the country. I will hopefully have much more to write when our week here is over, but for now it suffers my patience to use this keyboard, particularly at so steep a fee. So the ending goes: pictures by next wednesday with detailed posts then as well. apologies for any extra ‘q’s or ‘z’s, i may not have caught them all

  1. This blog thing is gonna work well for us, Zak. We really appreciate your updates and photos. Should be an educational and stimulating year or so. It’ll great to be able to follow your adventures, and we’ll all be learning something from it. Can’t wait to see where it leads you – and us. We love you and hope that everything goes (reasonably) as planned.
